...of Apet
Apetâ was developed by Lange Consulting & Software (LC&S) in response to a need to increase efficiency, transparency and accountability in the tender evaluation process. The first version of Apet was released in 1990. Today Apet is a sophisticated, proven and feature-rich product.
Apet reduces the costs of evaluations by making it easier to clearly identify and rank the evaluation criteria, manage the assessment of tenders and produce final reports. A recommendation of preferred tenderer(s) can then be made with confidence. Apet produces a wide range of reports and graphs, covering tender compliance, costs, risks and project management. If you need more than the standard set of reports, the 'ad-hoc' report writer lets you extract information the way you want to see it.

Criteria weighting is managed by a graphical and fully auditable weighting technique called the Hierarchy Weighting Process (HWPâ). An integrated module, HWP is a decision-support process that assigns weight to evaluation criteria based on their relative importance and within an environment that takes an organisation's strategic procurement objectives into account.
Designed by LC&S from well-proven decision-support principles, HWP is structured and prevents personal bias or prejudice affecting weights. It eliminates the frustration that often surrounds an arbitrary weighting process involving educated guesswork. HWP can withstand external audit scrutiny and it ensures all stakeholders have input into the weighting process and indeed it encourages constructive, inclusive and efficient communication between diverse stakeholder groups.
Taking advantage of contemporary communications systems...
Many organisations distribute tenders electronically. But how many organisations receive electronic submissions and automatically populate their evaluation systems to undertake value-for-money analysis? How many organisations can easily handle evaluators being geographically dispersed (even around the world)?
The development of advanced technology by LC&S delivers massive efficiency outcomes for clients and clients’ stakeholders (including suppliers).
Using Apet, an organisation issuing a tender can now provide vendors with an application, Apet eResponse, to develop their tender response. Apet eResponse allows tenderers to rapidly and concurrently prepare tenders, manage their response progress and print hard copy tenders as required.
Using Apet eAssessment provides the ability for members of an evaluation team to be located in disparate locations. All the role/function-based security is transferred so that evaluation team members only evaluate what they are supposed to.
LC&S are setting the pace for innovation in tendering processes!
