TBT Workshops

...are enjoyable and informative

Lange Consulting & Software (LC&S) conducts Towards Better Tendering at an enterprise level and as a public seminar. These seminars have proven to be very successful, and are designed to be informative, enjoyable, and to stimulate discussion amongst participants.

Key topics covered include:

Governance - identifying the procurement policies under which tendering is conducted, the degree of flexibility these policies provide and whether they allow innovation to meet procurement outcomes more efficiently.

Tender structure - why is tender structure important? What are the advantages of a good structure? Suggested structure for ease of implementation and understanding by all stakeholders.

Tender content - what is a tender document? What should it contain? How should it be written? What is the simplest way of identifying and documenting your specifications? Why is facilitation an important skill? Who are the stakeholders? Why are stakeholder interests key to a successful tender process?

Technology - what to look for in tendering applications – software features and how such systems can deliver extraordinary benefits.

Evaluation - the need for planning, documenting your approach, weight your evaluation criteria using more advanced techniques designed to meet organisation objectives, who should participate? Who shouldn't? What are the key risks and how should they be managed? What can technology offer? How to shortlist? What to include in evaluation reports.

The evaluation phase is underpinned by a popular team-based exercise where teams conduct an evaluation and report their findings to the remainder of the group.

Booklet - all attendees receive a Towards Better Tendering booklet.

Towards Better Tendering can be ideal for those stakeholders involved in a tender process with limited experience in procurement.
